Question Which of these two CD players would you choose?

I've decided what I want but want to know which of the two you would choose and why:

DENON UK | Home Audio Components

Azur 650C CD player

Both are very similarly priced at circa £330 so what if anything are the differences?

Cambridge. If you have a cd player already try adding a Cambridge DACMAGIC instead as that will sound better than either you mention.

I like the extra functionality of the Denon with the USB socket and the Burr Brown DAC is a nice one, but........the Wolfson DAC might just have the edge in the Cambridge?!?!

It's a tough one, go and have a listen to them both, without doing so i wouldn't like to have to choose.

Thanks guys, two very interesting posts. My Yamaha AVR has Burr Brown DACs on all inputs too.

I'm glad the DAC magic has been mentioned as I have an 9 year old Yamaha CD player (CDX-496) that I plugged in last night connect via analogue and put it up against my PS3.

Richersounds stock both, so hopefully they'll have both in at the same time and I can arrange for a listen and hopefully they'll be accommodating enough to let me bring my old CD player so that I can plug the DAC Magic into to do a three way comparison.

Check this thread for my opinions on the old CD player vs PS3.

CD Player suggestion - £250

Maybe a DAC Magic is the way to go, it'll be interesting to hear the differences.
