Best amp/cd combo for BW805s or SF Auditor M

Hi ppl,

I've been searching for audio world and I would like to ask you what are your opinions for a combo to use with BW 805s or Sonus Faber auditor M

I've seen:

Krell kav400 + lyngdorf cd1 (for BW and SF?)

audio analogue maestro settanta + maestro CD (for SF?)

musical fidelity m6i + m6 cd ( for BW?)

What do you think of these combos, especially with these speakers?

are there any other choices for combo in this price range?

B&W speakers tend to like a bit of grunt certainly Krell are well noted for providing that!

At your price point you sould be getting a serious demo set up maybe even a home demo to see which combo works best for you.

Looking at the music fedelity options be careful MF have a habit of knocking down prices so check out a previous model or wait a bit.

My own choice would be(and is!) Krell.

Others to consider apart from those listed already include Bryston,which offer not only excellent build,but also a better price.

In lower price brackets,the Rotel power amps have always been able to cope with B&W 805s.

Moon I5. (both)
Copland (very very nice with SF IMHO)
Unico DM series (SF)
Sugden A21SE/Masterclas I4 (SF).

BTW you dont have to get matching CD+Amp, often the best synergy is between 2 different brands, in fact most systems I see are loaded with different brands for source and amps.

Nice speakers you are trying out there BTW.
