Multi Room Music

Hi everyone,
I have been reading the forums for quite a while, and it has solved my av problems once and awhile, so I decided to create a user to share my own experience and help others..

However I acutally have a problem that I can not find a solution for in another post, so hope someone can help me out..

I recently bought a new apartment and it has speakers in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and livingroom (bedroom and livingroom do not have built in speekers). The cables from every speeker goes through the walls and into the living room, where the previous owner had a reciver and a cable switch thingy..

I however think that there must be a better way to control this.

What I want is the ability to control which speekers should play and which should not..

I looked at the itunes airport express, due to the fact that I really like itunes and has all my music in itunes and it would therefore be nice to stream my music from my mac to the speekers. However to get this to work I would need 1 airport for every speeker, which would make me need at least 4 airports to be placed next to eachother, and that would look stupid as well as be rather expensive..

A solution could be to have the express go into a reciver and then have the reciver control where to output to, but that would need me to go to the reciver every time I want to change room or volume (i. e. I would not be able to use the iPhone Remote to choose speeker and volume)

Any ideas or other solutions with remote?

Hope someone can help me..
Alowan

p.s. sorry for my bad english..
