Marantz PM6003 powerful enough for Sony SS-F6000 speakers?

Hello to All,

I was thinking of buying a Marantz CD6003 and maybe a PM6003 along with some Sony SS-F6000 speakers. My question is will PM6003 be powerful enough to run the speakers as it is only 45w pc? I do own an old Technics SA-EX310 which is 70w pc so that's why I was only going to buy CD & speakers but I have read some very good reviews abount CD/Amp package.

Many Thanks

p.s. this is my first post so please be gentle

Hi

I had those speakers and ran them on 2 x 25w so it should be ok

Why those speakers? They are ok but for little more you can have a much better sound IMO

Cheers

Hello and thanks for the reply. I read a lot of good reviews for the Sonys but I am open to suggestions? Richer Sounds are doing the CD/Amp package with Wharfedale 10.1 diamond speakers. Would I be better off buying another set of Wharfedales and ditch the Sony's?

Do you already have the Sony speakers? If so it would be up to you which set to sell depending on what sound you like – If you don’t have the speakers you may as well take the free 10.1’s as they are great speakers I heard a pair last weekend at Richer Sounds and I was very impressed
