Ultimate Ears replacement cable

Has anyone bought one of these cables?

The cable on my Super.fi 3's is far too stiff, I've had the earphones around a year and thought that the cable would ease up with time but it's still really bad.

Is that replacement cable more flexible? I've emailed that retailer - still waiting for a response so I thought I'd try my luck here

Thanks for any input!

Mike

Cheers, does it retain its shape like the stock cable? I find that the cable after the Y split is always stuck out under my chin instead of being flat against my neck and I can't get it to play nice.

Re: Ultimate Ears replacement cable

Not to the same degree, it has strong shape retaining around the ear, but not all the way along the length - but it's not exactly floppy either. Mine doesn't seem to 'stick out' at all, just the two seperate wires twisting around each other, which can get irritating.

Tends to work fine if you put it [the wire] under clothes and put any surplus wire in your pocket.

If that makes any sense at all.

Hmm, OK. I might buy one and just take the risk. I run mine under my shirt at the moment but it's the wire between the collar of the shirt and my ears that sticks out too much. My CX300's run flat against my neck as they can be moved into place and stay there, thats what I'm after for the UE's.

Thanks for the help, appreciated.
