PS3 & Sony MDR-DS4000

hi there,

would highly appreciate any advice for my following issue

my system is set up from a SHARP LC37X20 + PS3 + silver starlight HDMI + sky
I already ordered 5.1 Sony MDR-DS4000 (i know i supposed to get the pioneers, but dont like the design..) wireless heaphones and would like to hook it up but have the following questions:

1- what is the best way to connect? ps3 optical into headphone base station + RCA from tv for sky or straight optical from tv

2-the headpone base station has its own decoding....set the ps3's audio to LPCM or bitstream? i understand that ps3 decodes it itself and sends to output, would it better to bitstream and do the coding with the headphones base station....

3-is there a need to buy another high-end optical cable?? or is optical same as other optical

Thx a lot..
