Can you get Noise Cancelling headphones that are Wireless?

Hi,

Ok, I have no idea what I am talking about here, so please forgive me my technoignorance!
My husband has been talking about getting some wireless headphones, it is his birthday coming up and I thought it would be a good idea to get some for him.
I looked, and discovered you can get noise cancelling headphones too, but I can't seem to find both together?
He would use them for gaming, and also for listening to music when he is working on his PC. His study is right next to the sitting room and he uses the music to block out the noisy children!!
So I thought it would be great to have some of the noise cancelling ones, does anyone know if you can get wireless ones?
Any advice (keep it simple for me!) on suitable headphones gratefully received. He doesn't want the in ear ones, he already has some and after a while his ears hurt, and I know he likes sennheiser stuff, but not sure why or if that's relevant.
Thanks

Noise cancelling won't really work on noisy children as the active noise cancelling works only on the low notes (ie: aircraft cabin noise, traffic noise, etc.).

Also - please be aware that with wireless headphones you have to pay for a radio transmitter and receiver as well as the headphones - so the headphone quality is only about 25% of the price - the rest goes into making them cordless.

I think your husband needs a good pair of closed back headphones - these will help to reduce the sound of the noisy children so he can concentrate on what he is doing.

I hope this helps.

Ok, thank you, do I just search for closed back headphones then? Is that what they are called? Are there different types in the same price range because that will really confuse me! (told you I knew nothing!)

Closed and open headphones come in all price brackets.

You need to ask for closed headphones with good isolation for what you want.
