Sennheiser CX200 vs CX300 1st generation?

Anyone compared them?

My CX300 cable is breaking and I was thinking of buying a pair of CX300II.

But wouldn't mind buying a pair or black CX200 purely for motoriding (get dirty easily this way....).

Not quite the reply to help, but my pair of cx300 1st gen developed a fault 23months into ownership. The left bud produced a quiet & week sound resulting in unbalanced sound. I telephoned Sennheiser and they have replaced them free of charge as I still had the original receipt. There was a 2 yr guarentee on them....Have you tried contacting them for a replacement etc....

The CX 300 II is the same quality as the old CX 400.
