Denon 1909, Xbox 360 and Occasional Dolby Films

I've got a Denon 1909 and an Xbox 360. Returning from Paintballing yesterday there was nothing I wanted to do more than fire up COD, which I've not really got into yet.

I've a £100 voucher, for Meadowhall in Sheffield, that I've got lying around, and think that a decent(ish) pair of headphones would perhaps have allowed me to play until the early hours.

The problem, is that I'm restricted to the shops in Meadowhall. As such my firth thought was to look at Apple's offerings. They seem to punt the classic Sony MDR700's for just under a ton.

Of course, everyone seems to recommend the Sennheiser 595's but I can't seem to find a retail stockist in Meadowhall, unless Debenhams/House Of Fraser do them.

Are the MDR700's worth looking at? I know when I dabbled with DJing a few years back, they came highly recommended!

I'm looking for comfort, something that will work nicely with my Denon, and allow me to get the best from my Xbox whilst my 5.1's are off.

Any help?

Re: Denon 1909, Xbox 360 and Occasional Dolby Films

Scooted round today, and the Denon AHD1001 which I can't seem to find much about (presuming theyre discontinued) might be ok (CurrysDIgital £119)...

Other than that, I might just get the MDR-V700DJ's on sale in the Sony store for £79.99, a tenner more than they're available online, and cheaper than the £99 Apple want.

A couple of places sell Sennheisers, but top out at the 415.

HMV stock Skull Crusher stuff, but these seem a little basic.

They had some Bose in at £119, but never really been keen on Bose.
