Important of cable from EMU0404USB to AMP?

Hi there,

I've been reading on the forum here for quite a while, and I've googled my problem but couldn't really find the right answer so I decided to make a thread here.

I got an EMU0404 USB and an Icute Headphone Amplifier to run my HD650's. I got a basic cheap TS cable from my EMU0404 to the AMP which is quite long as well (about 2 metres). I was wondering if there would be a significant (noticable) benefit in getting some good quality and shorter TRS to RCA cable from my EMU0404 to the AMP or if it would just be a waste of money.

Thanks in advance,
Grafgever

What "problem" are you experiencing? I presume you mean with the sound in some way?

By all accounts the Icute is a good starter amp. My personal opinion would be that there is only so much £ I would put towards cable when I reach that point where upgrading the source and/or amp would pay far greater dividends

hi thanks for your reply.

There aren't really any sound issues that I'm having. I was just wondering if replacing the cable from the soundcard to the amp would increase the sound quality because at the moment I have a cheap basic TS cable.

Some people think cables are very important.

Hmz soldering the cables together like that guy in the movie did seems a bit over the top :D. I was just wondering if there would be a noticeble improvement of upgrading to a TRS cable and perhaps a little shorter cable as well.
