Bose in ear headphones.

I have been looking for some decent headphones for a while to use with my Archos 605 which does not have much output power to the headphones.

Had to get them from John Lewis as I had £100 voucher so decided on the Shure210 at £99. None in stock so ended up getting some Bose for £77.

They sound very nice certainly in comparison to the std apple phones I had been using. However they don't plug your ears as I was hoping so you have to crank up the volume to overcome background noise still.

I have considered taking them back does anyone know if this is possible with in ear phones. Only used them a couple of times.

How would some s-jays fair in comparison to the bose?

Re: Bose in ear headphones.

I speak to someone every couple of days who has problems with the in ear fit with Bose TriPort in-ear earphones.

The two problem with returning earphones is first that normally the packaging is sealed (making it impossible to open without damaging) and second that there are hygiene concerns as they go inside your ear. We normally charge a re-stocking fee (15%) to cover replacing the ear tips and the fact that they have to be re-sold as B grade.

I would recommend either Sennheiser IE6's or Klipsch X5's - I know the X5's are over budget, but they are truly excellent earphones and beat the Bose TriPorts into a cocked hat!

Re: Bose in ear headphones.

Well turns out that Bose only honour 30day returns on their products if you buy them from Bose direct. John Lewis will only refund me £61.60.

The SJays seem to be quite popular on here are people generally pleased with them. They came 2nd on the register hardware review.
