Shure SE-420 vs Sennheiser IE8

Ok as you may have noticed i changed my B&O A8's to shure se 420's after a reccomendation from someone on this forum. I had them stolen off me about 3 days ago so am once again stuck with crappy apple headphones anyway. My insurance company has kindly coughed up the cash for the shures so I can go out and get some new ones. since then the Sennheiser IE8's have come to my attention.
Are they any good? are they better at sound reproduction than the SE-420's? I found the SE-420's exceptional at blocking out sound and even better at actually palying my high quality files will i get the same with the IE8's or more importantly will I see an improvemnet?
thanks
chris

Re: Shure SE-420 vs Sennheiser IE8

The IE8's are supposedly bass heavy, offering an overall warm sound, but rather lacking in the treble department, which is why I went for the Westone 3's.

A lot of people on Head-fi say that they do benefit from 200 hours burn in, when things open up a bit more.

Overall, the IE8's are a top end product and as such, should be a step up from the 420's.
