My wife is by no means an audiophile and she can tell the difference between a good pair of £50 earphones (like the Shure SE110) and any of the better high end earphones (Klipsch Image X10, Sleek Audio SA6, Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10, Shure SE530).
What bitrate are your music files? What is the audio source? Were you getting a good seal with the eartips? |
I can tell the difference, its just not a £150+ difference. Not exactly "night n day" like some audiophiles would have you believe.
For £54 with in-built iPod controls their a decent buy. The Shure SE530 with Shure iPhone adapter cost me around £240 in total and I can't say I have a 4x improvement in sound quality. Could be just me

, but quiet a few regulars on head-fi have also stated the new Apples are decent.
PS, I have used a set of Shure SE110 and thought they were lacking in bass while the Apples have good bass.
