Sennheiser RS 120 vs RS 130 vs RS 140

Ok i bought Sennheiser RS 120 headphones and the sound quality is satisfying on moderate and low soundlevels but bass starts to "crack" if i add more volume more. I have them connected on to my laptop which have Creative X-Fi notebook soundcard.

Im wondering that should i get RS 130 or RS 140 to replace these since i want more soundpressure and especially bass. Or would be there be any trick to make these sound better?

Re: Sennheiser RS 120 vs RS 130 vs RS 140

I'm interested in the answer to this aswell. I'm looking to get a set of these for the missus so she can watch tv in bed. I know my mum has the RS130 model and she is very happy with them. I also read a review somewhere that the sound quality is better on the RS130 than the RS140. Downside of the RS130 is that they are what's called "Open Cup" which means the sound is better but can be heard by other people so I guess it depends if your gonna disturb other people with your listening.

Forget wireless if you want to hear the real quality from headphones.

Get the HD600 or HD650 and an extension cable if you really need the extra length.

Thanks for your advice but the missus has specified that she doesn't want the cable connection anymore, we have that kind of setup with a cheapo set of headphones. I guess I need to decide between open or closed back headphones.

Re: Sennheiser RS 120 vs RS 130 vs RS 140

I have the RS140, as i wanted closed headphones. I've had them a couple of years so mine don't have a balance control that seems to be on them now.

I generally use them for the TV at night and they are great, also when i'm decorating I use them with my ipod (i decorate quicker with the headphones).

Sound quality is great for TV and Music and quality is excellent on low or high volume.

At higher volumes they do leak sound but at normal volumes there is no leakage.

I'd recommend them, if mine ever broke i'd replace with the same.

Re: Sennheiser RS 120 vs RS 130 vs RS 140

What i want to know is that will the rs 140 give me more spl? RS 120 tend to break the bass if i listen for example cannibal corpse louder than moderate volume level. Sorry im drunk and my english sucks :D

I guess i will sell these and order rs 140 or rs 130...

I have to say that it is nice to walk 30m from house and listen music from wireless, so wires are no no :D
