In ear headphones with extendable cable and asymmetric chord?

I'm on the look out for some headphones to replace my CX300's which have served me very well up to now but I really need a short cable because I'm plugging my headphones into a wired remote which is attached to my phone and the full length cables are just too long.

However I also want an asymmetric chord (like the CX300's) because I find that the easiest way to listen to music on the go. I did think I had everything sorted with the new CX400's, but when you read the description it says that the cable is symmetrical... however when you look at the photo it looks like it's asymetric!? Is it just me?

I know that some of the Shure's have extendable cables and asymmetric chord but I tried some SE110's and they just didn't have enough bass for my listening tastes. Any other suggestions without going into silly money?

Cheers.

Check out the Sony sets. A lot of them have the asymmetric cord and extension you are after plus most of them have a decent amount of bass too(perhaps too much but thats just my opinion).

Re: In ear headphones with extendable cable and asymmetric chord?

Thanks Tautitan, I did start looking at the Sony sets recently, they seem to be aiming at the mid-high end of the in-ear headphone market now and appear to have some nice kit. Haven't seen much in the way of reviews yet though, so will do a bit more research.

Any more suggestions out there!?
