Shure e4c upgrade

Hi guys I have had some e2c's then upgraded to some e4c's which have been stunning, I have had the e4c's for just over a year and have just landed a very nice job which means I have more money to treat myself like I used to. So do you think the se530's are worth the upgrade or hang on to what I have for a little while longer I really wanna feel a difference to justify the money like going from standerd apple earphones to e4c's am I expecting to much? How much have they moved on?

Re: Shure e4c upgrade

I would say... a lot

I used to have E4G (black gaming edition E4C) and sold them because I prefer my Westone UM2. The Shure's had a dull limp bass. Recessed mids, although nice creamy highs. Had to go. Notwithstanding that my UM2 get no use now because of my ESW9 the current top universals are:

Shure SE530
Westone W3
Sennheiser IE8
UE Triple.fi 10 Pro

Consensus would appear that it is a shoot-out between the W3 and IE8. Its a tough gig in the UK as it is an impossibility to demo IEMs unless you are going on holiday to America(!) Happy researching
