Bose On-Ear Headphones, Have you ever used them?

Hi guys

I'm thinking of getting the Bose On-Ear Headphones, the £117 pair. If you have used them can you please let me know your views on the quality of sound and build.

I listened to them in an apple store and thought the sound was excellent but I only had time for a minute listen.

Please don't just use this thread to have a go at Bose.

Thanks

David

I tried a pair with the fixed (not folding) headband- think these are the ones you are talking about?

I wanted them for travel and was pleasantly surprised at how much outside noise they eliminated- ended up buying a pair of their in-the-ear phones in the end which I would recommend.

I listened to these also in Apple Store and thought they were pants. Of course, it was very noisy in there and I don't know what bitrate they were using, but the adjacent iPod playing the same track through a pair of Sennheiser PX200s sounded much better to me......

Re: Bose On-Ear Headphones, Have you ever used them?

I'm with yellowsphere on this one, sounded pants in the BOSE shop, and that was using my own ipod. Awful value for money.

I'm sitting here wearing my Sennheiser HD25-II 1, much better in every respect, especially the sound. They are closed so won't leak sound out to the outside world, and isolate very well. Not as well as good fitting IEMs, but also not far off.

Plus they are built like a bunker, and make the BOSE phones look like something that came free in a cracker, no joke.
