DT-990 pro are not loud with azuen prelude any advice

just got my dt 990 pro's and hooked it up to my computer's sound card(auzentech prelude) and they aren't that loud,is there any way of making them louder except from the sound card controls.Does anyone have the same problem

arent they 250 ohm cans?
if so probably need an amp!

He's correct, you need an amp. Sound cards are usually not powerful enough to drive high impedance headphones such as the DT990 Pro at high volumes.

Even a basic little amp would probably do the trick. Something like one of the Little Dot amps or a Headsave Classic (if you can find one), Rega Ear, etc...

or a "zero" dac which has HP amp built in. great value start amp!
