Headphone Advice

Hi,

I want to buy some new headphones, my budget is £100. I'm probably going to go for the Grado SR60 or 80 but i'm not sure if i would hear much difference between the two, i know there is only £20 in it but would there be much difference in sound quality ?

Thanks

Re: Headphone Advice

Hi there.

A lot of this will depend on your source material. If the quality is there to start off with then there is a discernible improvement with the SR80 over the SR60, though the SR60 isn't exactly rubbish.

IMHO, the 80's have an improved bass response whilst still retaining the 60's excellent treble and mid-range.

However, none of my advice is a substitute to popping into a dealer and LISTENING to them.

Buying from a dealer may be more expensive initially but can assist in avoiding an expensive mistake later on.

Re: Headphone Advice

OK chears, i've emailed my local hifi shop to arrange an audition of both the SR-60 and 80. Whats this i've read about the SR-60's being more comfortable?
