Beyerdynamic dt990 pro or premium-not sure which one is newer

Beyerdynamic dt990 pro or premium-not sure which one is newer

i want to get some headphones for up to 180 for my archos 5 and my auzen x-fi sound card

i will use it for movies and music there are two dt990's everyone says the new one is better but i'm not sure which one is the new one.Is the premium the newer one as it is more expensive

Juts need someone to tell whiuch one is better and which one is newer or if you think there are better headphones for 180 could you tell me asap as i need to order in the next 2 hours.

These are the newer (2005 onwards) version, with metal 'grilles' on the cups. These are under the Premium line on the website, so I think these are the ones you are looking for.
These are the older design, with plastic 'grilles'.

I have the newer version and am very happy with them. They come in different impedances though, so check before you buy to make sure your Archos can drive them OK. The 32 ohm versions are probably your best bet if you're not using a separate headphone amp.
