Sennheiser CX 95 or Denon AH-C551?

Can anyone offer any advice on what headphone i should buy. I’ve narrowed the decision down to a few Sennheiser CX 95 or Denon AH-C551. I listen to all types of music on my ipod classic. I always rip my files to 320kbs and I like a good helping of base and detail.

Or do I pay a bit more and get the Denon AH-C751 or Klipsch Custom 2 both about £75.
I’d appreciate anyone’s views and opinions.

You cant go wrong with the Denon AH-C551 earphones, I bought a pair last week and they're brilliant. Upgraded them with Comply T-400 tips and they're even better giving me a good comfy fit and external sound isolation.

They sound punchy in the bass, clear & detailed midrange and treble.

CX 95 are discontinued, so you're gonna have hard time finding these. I wanted to buy these, but they were out of stock, and salesman suggested me CX 550. He said that they are almost completely the same as CX 95, but with a more balanced bass and overall quality. I'm personally very pleased with these earphones , and they sound kind of better overaly then dennon AH-C551. But if you have bigger budget you should go with more expensive ones.

I've got the Denon AH-C700 which I upgraded from a pair of Shure E2C and the sound on them is fantastic. The bass is really punchy and the mid range very clear. I didn't think an MP3 could sound that good. Like richie60 I also upgraded to the Comply tips which allow are extremely comfortable as I do find that sometimes the standard tips can get a little uncomfortable if you wear them for a long time.

Cheers

I realise this is reviving an old thread, but many thanks for the recommendation of the Comply tips. I'm about to take delivery of some second hand C700s and I was wondering which tips would be the best replacements. Have just ordered three pairs (I'll probably also upgrade the Sennheisers I use at the gym as well as they take the same fitting).
