Had Mdr-v600 Any Recommendations

I was an owner of a set of MDR-V600 Sony headphones but then my house burnt down. I am looking to replace them and I really want to try something different.

What I loved about the Sony headphone:
BASS
Closed Ear, Noise dampening
Great sound and sound range

What I am looking for in a headphone:
I am not looking for studio quality head phones
I am looking for great sound quality, great bass
I listen to Techno, Industrial, Alternative, Rock, Indie, and Classical music
I also listen to allot of podcast
Want something to block any outside sound as much as possible

My price range:
Up to 150 USD

Why am I posting here and not trying them out myself:
You cant try out headphones, bestbuy doesn't give you that option anymore. Also no one carries decent headphones and if they do you cant try them.

Definition of not looking for Studio Quality Head Phones:
From what I have read Studio Quality is a bland listening experience with little emphasis on bass and isn't good for casual listening.

Correct me where I am wrong and thanks for the help...

By the way I was looking at the Sennheiser HD280 any opinions

Ultrasone: Proline550

Description

The Proline 550 is a very fun headphone to listen to. With the hardest hitting bass we've heard from such an efficient headphone this model rocks out very nicely!

PROline stands for Ultra Low Emission and means significant benefits for professional users as it is highly-developed and specially designed for professionals. The new design does not only distinguish the professional line but also allows due to more ear anatomy area a higher degree of transparency in combination with the spatial sense and understanding.

PROline technology was systematically developed for professionals as they do spend half of their lives in headphones. Most headphone drivers today convert an electric signal into an acoustical signal, producing low-frequency magnetic fields. Medical research shows that these emissions can be hazardous to our health. In response, ULTRASONE developed a special MU Metal shielding to reduce the radiation by up to 98% compared to current headphones. The patented PROline (ULE=Ultra Low Emission) technology has stood the test of international review and is recommended by technical surveillance organisations.

Through the S-Logic Natural Surround Sound the usual headphone sound will be moved out of the head in the room around you. The sound is no longer locked in, but appears broad and detached. Directions and distances can be heard and perceived - it?s just like being in a live concert. For this new technology additional equipment is not required. Take a pair of ULTRASONE headphones and you will be ready for the 3-dimensional sound enjoyment! Safer hearing

S-Logic Natural Surround Sound allows an up to 40% lower dB output (3-4 dB) for the same loudness sensation. This may significantly reduce the risk of hearing damage while ensuring hours of fatigue-free listening - an absolute must if you spend a lot of time in headphones.

Sennheiser: HD280pro

Description

The Sennheiser HD280pro is a closed, fold able headphone suitable for DJ use. With a fairly sterile overall sound and low comfort levels these are a good choice for DJ or mixing use, but not so great for home users.
Package Contents

1/4" to 3.5mm adaptor
Specifications

* Model number: HD280pro
* Weight: 220g
* Impedance: 64ohms
* THD: 0.1 %
* Open/Closed: Closed
* Transducer type: Dynamic
* Ear Coupling: Circumaural
* Frequency response: 8 - 25,000Hz
* Cable length: 3m uncoiled

In preference I would recommend one of the Ultrasone's

Or for about the same cost as the Sennheiser: HD280pro

Audio Technica: ATH-A900

Description

The A900 is an easy to drive closed headphone that offers good levels of isolation from outside noise.

The ATH-A900 has a fairly dark sound with good overall response - ideal for PC gamers.
Specifications

* Model number: ATH-A900
* Weight: 350g
* Impedance: 40ohms
* Sensitivity: 101dB
* Power Handling: 2000mW
* Open/Closed: Closed
* Ear Coupling: Circumaural
* Frequency response: 5 - 40,000 Hz
* Cable length: 3m

I hope these recommendations have been helpful
