Valve headphone amp for iPod?

Is there a headphone amp out there that can provide a decent headphone out for iPods? Ideally, it would be a valve-based amp with a dock so that it amplifies the line out from the iPod rather than the headphone out. I know I can buy valve-based amps for the iPod that have a dock built into them already but I don't need the speaker outputs. I just want headphone outputs.

The reason for this is that I am now considering some higher-end headphones to use with my iPod Classic and these may struggle to be driven directly by the iPod headphone out.

maybe a cheap dock with rca out, then rca to amp. A valve amp would require high impedance phones? The darkvoice figaro is well priced (circa £110 inc p&p). For about £40 more you could pick up darkvoice 336i. Im not 100% on the prices though.

Good luck.

yes you can get a valve based headphone amp with a built in dock for your ipod.

Fatman itube, never seen one in person though so can't say how they sound.
