Hi All, I am needing to replace my Sennheiser HD515 phones as I have broken them. I have been looking at the HD600 ones but really not sure if they will be any better or worse than what I had before.

Basically I am needing them for the upcoming all night gaming sessions on GOW2, COD5, GH:World Tour etc so PLENTY of BOOMS!! I intend on plugging them into the Headphone socket of my new Pioneer LX60 receiver, I won't be using them with an ipod etc.

Will they work well enough this way? I really don't understand the headphone amps and whether I would need one or not.

The other ones that caught my eye a bit were the wireless Sennheiser RS130's but I am a little sceptical as to the sound quality that these would provide compared to a wired solution.

Any advice or suggestions for other headphones (no more expensive than the HD600's) greatly appreciated.

to be honest i would go with the goldring dr150, they are easily driven, and easily sound better than my old £100 sennheiser hd595's and are only £50-£60 online.

they have an amazing reputation online too.

either that or something like the audiotechnica ad700
