What new headphones with a £40 budget

I have just invested in Ipod Nano for other half and am getting an Iphone soon. Am looking for some new headphones to upgrade from the standard ones. Not fussed about either in ear or traditional style, but want something that blocks out noise and sounds good. Looked at shure but is there anything better in my budget?
