From what I've read the SE100's are a lot better by a large amount.

I'm also in the same situation, that offer by play.com is fantastic. I'll need to place my order quick before it runs out. Is there anything i should know before i purchase? And is there any better bass options for the price?

Sonically, my mates E2Cs (presumably the predecessor to the SE110) were no better than my CX300. In fact the only way they were better was for sound isolation. So I find the claim of "a lot better by a large amount" very difficult to believe, TBH. Better? Possibly, but certainly not a lot.

offer is back on but they got wise to the amount of orders and upped the price to 30quid.
i'm too in the dilema between these two 'phones..
cx300 are 12.99 from a play trader (dont know if fakes or not though) or 18quid normally
or 30quid for the shure's...
cant seem to find any fair comparisons between them given that their RRP's are about double that of each other.
my main concern is the fitting the ear factor. i've read that the shures "cord over the ear" design is annoying and if you dont do it like that they easily fall out of your lug 'oles. dont know if the senns are any different.
i've had some sony ex81's for the past couple of years but they are falling apart and have gone a horrid colour (were white) from being in my bag. they kinda hurt my ears after not very much time of wearing them. so wanted something more comfortable.

I've had a pair of CX300's for the last 2 years or so. They've been excellent headphones, especially for the price but they've started to break around the jack. In fairness to them I use them almost everyday so they've certainly have heavy usage.
I originally was going to go back for some more CX300's but I've decided to go for a change. The Shure's seems to be fairly highly rated, and that's with them placed in a higher price bracket than we're picking them up for.
If moneys tight a big issue I'd say go for the CX as I know that they're excellent headphone. I'm just going for a change really.
Oh and if you're unsure that the trader is selling legit headphones, I think Amazon.co.uk had them for £15 delivered & at least that way you know they're the real deal.

I myself bought a pair when they were going cheap on Play a couple of weeks ago and I have a pair of CX300 also (Which I love and always go back to) had them for years, however the SE110 to me are a lot better. quality of the sound is better not on everything.

Well used the SE110's for a couple of days now. Its a little stange with the way you put the wire over your ear, but I'm getting used to it I think.
Really early initial impression is that I think they sound better than the CX300's, but obviously its subjective & to be honest I've not listened to enough different types of music to say for sure.
Listened to a bit of Justice, Mylo, Cinematic Orchestra and Feist & they've all sounded excellent. Especially Justice.
