Earphone advice - for Drum and Bass music

Sorry if this is the wrong section but I wasn't sure where to put this.

I'm looking for a pair of earphones for my Sony NW-A1200. Price range £40ish and I listen to a fair bit drum and bass...

I had some Skull Candy in-ear buds which were really comfortable and blocked out a load of noise so I suppose something in a similar style would be good? I'm not too sure

Any help appreciated

Re: Earphone advice?

I can vouch for the Shure EC2s, think there are EC3s out now too. I got mine from ebay USA for around £42, inc delivery to UK, took around 10 days to arrive.

I use them for work as I work as a live sound technician and they are great for in ear monitors when doing a mix, and block out noise from instruments or the PA. So I can say they work well in the most hostile environment, also good as earplugs if I need to run onstage and reposition a mic next to a noisy drummer or amp.
I also use them for my MP3 player and they're spot on, for the price I can't fault them.

Re: Earphone advice?

Thread revival!

I still haven't got round to buying a pair. I want to make the right decision.

I listen to a lot of drum and bass so what would you guys recommend?

Budget - £50

I'm thinking about the Sennheiser CX 500s but again I need some real advice. Listening to Drum & Bass I don't want the earphones to let me down as I feel my earphones at the moment are doing just that!

Help meh!

Re: Earphone advice?

Try the Goldring GX200. They'd be my current choice of the sub 50 quid models.
