Money no object?

Depends if you mean universal IEMs or customs

However there is validation in the argument with headphones it is part of a journey. By upgrading, your wallet hurts, but you appreciate the differences as you upgrade

Another vote for the Shure SE530 (or E500, as they used to be called). Hands down the best headphone I've heard...

Re: Best in-ear headphones

Another option is the very capable Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Pro. I understand that money is no object, but the Ultimate Ears are definitely better value for money.

Like the SE530, the Triple.fi's have three drivers and deliver a very full and detailed sound across the entire frequency range. Compared with the dual driver Super.fi 5 Pro they sound smoother and more acurrate.

We feature the Triple.fi's in our Best Headphones Top 10

For a UK buyer check the new ACS T1 customs. Tell them I sent you and they 'may' knock 50p off

The T1 are triple driver, the T2 are dual. The single driver version was named T3 after the magazine, how ACS would love to have them renamed now so that the number matches the drivers

They are custom fit so hard to try without having the moulds done.

Another vote for Shure SE530's fantastic sound & great fit Can't imagine what £650 buys you over £200-230 SE530's

Is it bragging rights

I had the Shure SE530 and started to get custom moulds done to get a better fit. I sold them when I got the T2s but kept some Westone UM2 which I preferred over the Shure.

I would imagine the Shure would sound almost as good if it were fitted as well as a custom set of iem's. The fit & the better isolation are well worth the price even the UM2 seem to leak in too much sound after using the custom fit.
