Thanks: Gave 16, Got 1 | In Ear Monitors - non custom but actually fit the ears
Gents,
I'm looking for a set of in ear monitors (head phones) that fit discreetly in the ear AND has the cable positioned to allow me to put the cable over my ears to wear the cable down my back.
Something along the lines of these http://www.handheldaudio.co.uk/pages...e=c&cat_id=180
but slightly lower spec / value.
I bought a pair of Sure SC2 which are actually quite good headphones, but don't sit well in my ears and the cables are impossible to get over my ears to wear easy behind my back.
Appriciate this isn't the normal post in here, but wonder how much you guys know, or have experience.
thanks.

Shure range
Westone UM1 or UM2. Read your post and the latter sprung to mind as I own it. Sits flush to the ear unlike most universals which stick out

Another for the Westones. I have a pair of UM1 and they're seriously comfortably headphones, I don't notice they're in and I struggled with other in ears (other than Bose that sit in your outer ear).

Ordered a pair of UM 2's,
thank you for the advice, they seem a solid compromise between the £800 custom molds

But I am not one to discourage people from putting down money on audio gear

I can only say how perfectly the Shure SE530's fit in my ears and reviews have also indicated they are extremely comfortable to wear.

The latest wave of wideband single driver earphones have brought comfort forward somewhat over the older multi-driver approach. The slimmer design a single driver brings means better long term wearing comfort.
Check out our blog article on the new Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 'top fire' single armature earphone for a bit of background on the single driver approach.

well, these ear phones are mega.
they fit the bill perfectly.
Used them for two sessions now, and they are pefect IEM's.
A great middle of the road solution over £700 custom ear moulds and £24 walkman head phones.
Great call.
Recommended to other users.
(Also used them on ipod - worked great too)

Glad you like them
You went with clear colour or black? Shure tips fit on Westone IEMs and many like the " Olives". Google the product number for online stores

clear look, it's less obvious if your performing in front of people, I'll check out the sure connections, but I like the ones that came with these, comfy and discreet.
excellent advice.
