Headphones for PC - Recommendations ?

Not sure which forum this should go in, but I think it's more here. I'm looking to spend about £50-80 on a set of headphones for use with my PC. They are primarily for watching HD movies, so they should really be geared towards that. My soundcard shouldn't be a problem, so is it wise to just get a good pair of stereo headphones so I can use the software decoding/features in PowerDVD and the like ?

Thanks

(You'll have to bear with me a bit, I'm new to AV in general really, my £15 Sony headphones have just out-stayed their welcome I think )

I understand that you can only get the full effect through speakers It's just I'm off to Uni soon and don't want to disturb the other people on my landing too much. Headphones would therefore be ideal. I should have more or less asked for a decent set of headphones under £100 really, any suggestions ?

HD595 - I have them and they are brilliant (although the sound card will affect the quality of the sound, as much as the headphones).

£50-£80, I think nothing can beat the HD595's.

DT770 Pro 80 Ohm, under £100, arguably the best bass of all headphones, comfy, closed so won't disturb neighbours.
HD959 (£85 cheapest price) are open and really loud, almost like speakers. Inferior bass. Comfy though and easier to drive.

Agree with the above post converning the HD595's.
