Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

If they are like the old set (2000's) you can use multiple headsets.

I am also interested how they sound and how the new transmission system works compared too the old IR system. Also they come with rechargeable batteries built in, would really like to know if you can interchange batteries or are you stuck with one set per headset. I await your feedback,

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

I am also consedering buying one of theese, but I am quite afraid of 2.4 Ghz transmission, because I plan to use them in place alongside with several Wi-Fi networks. From what I recently read from audiocubes it could cause interference which is a last thing I want, so if you could please test them in this way I would be really grateful.

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

Glad to hear you got them OK. Shame about the interference is it really noticeable or can you alter the settings to eliminate/minimise it. I too have an xbox360 and also a wireless router so I don't think these would be suitable for me. Anyway can you detach rechargeable battery or is it fixed ?

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

i played last night on ps3 and 360
the sound on mgs4 on ps3 was excellent. i think in about a 90 minute period there was one drop in sound for about 2 seconds.there was no interferance apart from this.
the sound on half life 2 on xbox was also excellent. with a wired pad there was no interferance at all. when i switched to a wireless pad there was an irritating clicking noise.
on the whole i am more than happy with the sound quality from the headphones.
i may buy another wireless pad but not the official one for my 360 to see if this makes a differance

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

Thanks for the feedback, currently there aren't any 3rd party wireless controllers for the xbox360 only wired ones. Is there anyway you can alter the transmission settings to eliminate noise or are you stuck with a single 2.4Htz setting ?

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

Hi,

I have the SE-DIR2000C's which as you know are IR wireless - I have never ever had any form of interference from them and I run a number of other wireless items - I was therefore surprised that with these new 2.4Ghz models you seem to be getting some interference/drop-outs - very strange! Just a wild shot in the dark, but is your power source clean and is the transformer fully compatible? I was also going to get the SE-DIR3000C's but upon closer inspection the only thing that has changed is the transmission type - so sound wise, I do not see how they would be any better - and I still have the option to physically connect a set of corded headphones if I wish - why Pioneer eliminated this option on this newer model is a bit of a mystery unless of course the bean counters dictated they must build to a set & lower budget!

Suave!

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

there is a button on the unit that says 'ch' and a part that you can press on the headphones which says 'id'. i think this is just to sync the headset but i am not sure as the instructions are not in english.

the 2000c ir unit may well be the best option. i bought a pair of hd595 headphones to plug into the unit which i now cant use.

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

I just bought a SE-DRS3000C as well. I was trying to use it for my computer (ps3 and xbox too). I have a set of Logitech Z5500 5.1 speakers. I wanted to hook the headphone to it and output the sound to the headphone. I have X-Fi xtreme music sound card on the computer, but it doesnt have optical. How do I hook them up? Theres only a headphone jack output on the Z5500, optical , coaxial are inputs. I need some help please. What do you plug into the optical output of the SE-DRS3000C headphone? So lost on how to hook them up to my computer and Z5500.

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

My Headphone arrived. But I am having a problem. I cant use the headphones. Or better, the headphones does not have any sound. I Have a Pioneer SE-DIR800CII so I have a bit experience with wireless headphones.

I connect all the cables, The voltage is correct and the headphone's Receiver recognises the signal (Dolby, DTS, AAC etc). The headphone is fully charged, and is turning on normally. But dos not have any sound coming from the headphone. Tryed the volume button and not worked. Please I need help.

I wonder if it related with the ID/CH button or something like it. I cant figure what is happening since the manual is all in japanese.

Please forgive me my bad english, because I am Brazilian. Help me Thanks a lot!

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

if you hold the ch button on the unit it will search for a headphone. press the volume switch on the headphone up into the headphone. this should sync the headphone with the unit

Already did several times and nothing worked... I contacted Audiocubes, and they told me to ship it back, and I did it.

One doubt: I have a XBOX 360. It will have any kind of interference with the headphones? What is the problem that can happen? There is any kind of solution? If it has any problem, I would try another headphone, like 2000 series (Pioneer). Thanks a lot!

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

Hi All!
Getting back to the main topic stated in this thread's title, here is the question to davie and perhaps to redmoon60 too:
does the SE-DRS3000C set allow to connect one more pair of headphones (i.e. is it possible to get sound output to two headphones (2 X SE-DHP3000) from one wireless transmitter (1 X TRE-D3000))? Can anyone say anything more than official Pioneer's info saying that SE-DHP3000 is an optional extra headphone set? Would much appreciate any reply, since I'm planning to order described configuration from Japan for watching movies and music listening for me and my wife. We don't have much space for speakers and would like to get highest quality sound possible and to avoid creating inconveniences to our neighbours.
Davie and other happy owners of this set, just to make everything clear, do you have wireless router installed at your home? If yes, how often do you encounter interference and did you noticed influence on headphone’s sound quality from other wireless devices?
Thanks in advance for info!

redmoon60, as X-Fi ExtremeMusic owner I can suggest you need to buy Creative X-Fi I/O Console Upgrade Kit http://us.creative.com/products/prod...&product=14711 or I/O Drive Upgrade Kit (available on eBay) to have any connection option you may need at hand.

Re: Pioneer SE-DRS3000C -multiple headsets?

Well, I did not have the chance to try the quality of DRS3000C Headphones, as I explained before, but I can tell you two things about it: 1. It is more comfortable than DHP800CII, also from Pionner. 2. But it is not as noise cancelling as DHP800CII, in my opinion this is a negative point for DRS3000C, because the exterior sounds can easily pass trough the headphones to your ears.

I have SE-DRS3000C with additional SE-DHP3000 (so I have 2x SE-DHP3000). The system is working fine ..
I have just one problem: when I turn down the volume to the minimum (or when I pause the movie on DVD) I can hear high pitch sound. Is not very annoying but I have expected dead silence from headphones in this price range.
Does anybody else have that kind of problem or is it just me?
