Question Which headphones for PC gaming and TV.

Hi Folks,

I need to get a decent set of headphones that I can use for my pc (games/music) and also for my tv at night.

I believe Seinnheiser (Spelling?) are a good brand but I am uncertain as to what to look for in headphones. Or will any pair do?

Thanks in advance!

€60 - €80 I guess but I am open to sugguestions.

Also, as it will be plugged into a tv it will need to have a decent length cable.

Re: Which headphones for PC gaming and TV.

Yes, Sennheiser headphones are a safe bet. Another good quality brand is Audio-Technica.

The Sennheiser HD555 full size headphones are within budget and come with a 3 metre cord. Another alternative that is just about within budget is the very good quality Audio-Technica ATH-AD500 headphone, which also come with a 3 metre cord.

Both of the above are open back headphones - take a look at the link to see if that fits your requirements. You may actually be looking for closed back headphones if you don't want to annoy others sitting near you.

If a 3 metre cord isn't long enough you will be able to find a headphone extension lead at Maplin. We will also be stocking headphone extension leads in the very near future.

Hi Shaun,

Thanks for that. Very informative. I didn't realise there was a close and open back headsets. I think I would be going for a closed one.
