Can you recommend a replacement for Sony MDR-D66?

my Sony MDR-D66 have given up the ghost this morning after 5 years excellent service, unfortunately they're not made any more, so looking for advice on something similar.
seen a few reviews of sony's updated versions
Sony MDR-D777SL Altus HD Headphones http://www.audiocubes.com/category/H...eadphones.html
has anyone got these? would you recommend them? i've seen some mixed reviews.
What I'm looking for is something that will play an odd mix of music through my creative zen 60gb (nothing requiring too much bass) without annoying anyone else on the bus beside me, also found the D66's great for on flights too and that is as well built as the D66 and that will last nearly as long. Oh and that are Headphones not in-ear yokies, don't mind looking like a geek wearing them!
Willing to pay around €120/$160/£100stg.
Any advice?
