High quality headphones for mp3 player

Hello!
Firstly, I'm sorry for my english.

I am going to buy mp3 player and headphones. I can really appreciate the excellent sound quality. I was reading a lot and decided to buy iRiver CLIX 2, which has many great reviews, mainly for sound quality much better than iPod. At first I was thinking about buying Grado iGrado (£39) with this player, but there are many different reviews.
I am going to use it mainly in the bus/plane. And do not want ear plugs. I don't want to save on this buy, so I can spend up to £100 or if it is really worth of this, up to £200 (just on headphones).
Will be very greatful for any suggestions.
I listen to rock and metal music, but I like classical music as well (or its connection, e.g. Lacrimosa).

Thank you in advance.

P.S. I'm going to use those headphones occassionally at home with my Yamaha Pianocraft.

Definitely do not want the iGrados for on bus and planes. They leak sound in (and out) like anything.

Are you adverse to large over-ear designs? Those or ear plugs are the best if they're going to be used in noisy places.

Of course, large over-ear would be great. At the moment I found on Sennheiser's page PXC 350's. Looks nice, what about sound? Costs about £170.
Concerning iGrados - sound leak is main reason I do not want them.

try a pair of Sennheiser HD25-1's. for cutting out ambient noise without the use of noise cancelling technology, there's nothing better.

Re: High quality headphones for mp3 player

Yeah, Sennheiser HD 25-1 II have very good reviews. Moreover - most of weaknesses given by reviewers are strenghts for me [short cord, much bass (which I like), extremely loud (and goes high volume without distortion)]. I think it's gonna be perfect choice. However, another suggestions are welcome.

Thank you mattski73!
