I have some Sennheiser CX300 earphones which I find give too much bass and not enough detail at the mid and high ends.

I want to have good detail across the frequency range and am thinking of moving to mid range earphones.

Possibilities are the:

Audio Technica ATH-CK7
Super.Fi 3
D-Jays

Am I on the right track, I don't want to spend much more, though the q-Jays would seem the perfect choice.

try the super.fi 4. they are going dirt cheap (for what is practically a brand new earphones)
