Speakers in storage - Time for headphones.

Recently moved house and it's a terraced house so my Hi-Fi setup is a no go. I am going to use my TAG PA20R as the amp and using PC for my music through an ESI Juli@ souncard with the ASIO drivers.

At the moment I am using a cheap apir of Sony MDR-300 which I bought for the ex but she did not want them. Got to say these sound good, especially for the price.

I want to know what the best headphones are upto £100 including sale items. Seen a few recommendations for the HD595s and the Beyer DT990s although some people are knocking these.

My music tastes are pretty varied but recently my tastes have been moving to new age/celtic music where detail and openess are main priorities..

Any help be much appreciated.

Re: Speakers in storage - Time for headphones.

DT990s are great, but don't forget that the expensive "hifi" version is over £200 usually whilst the "Pro" version is nearer the hundred mark.

Both are excellent cans though.
