Comfortable alternative to AKG K26p

After much research and deliberation as to what headphones to buy a year or so ago I decided on trying the K26ps and I was pleased, very pleased infact, they sound great.
Recently I have been using them for much longer periods of time and thats my only issue with them, they hurt. The small pads press too hard onto my ears to let me wear them for any length of time.
So whats a good alternative to these good but not great phones? my source is the usual ipod and laptop and Id sacrifice portability for comfort although I don't want massive headbuns to walk around with.

Any suggestions would be great... Cheers

Re: Comfortable alternative to AKG K26p

i've got both the AKG k27i's and JBL reference 410's which are the same headphones. the leather head band on the JBL's make things a bit more comfortable, but you'll still get the clamping effect.

assuming the k26p's are similar to the k27i's, to be honest, i've yet to try anything that really replaces them. the Triplets (Sennheiser PX100, PX200 iGrado) are in a different league. more open than the AKG's but not as deep or powerful.
