Needing new in ear cans

hi there, i've had the shure e500 for about a year now and the driver in one of the buds is gone,

i'm looking for the same sort of sound but at a cheaper price preferably as im getting the shures replaced and going to sell them on ebay

was just wondering what everyones thoughts on other buds in and around the 150 pound price mark, plus i'd like a more heavy duty cable than the e500's

i've heard good things of ultimae ears but have never heard them myself

many thanks

Re: Needing new in ear cans

what ever you do stay away from the 5eb's. but of course for the upper range UE's the cable is replaceable, which is handy. I've only got the UE metro.fi and the 5 EB's. I can't comment about the rest.

Re: Needing new in ear cans

Just bought UE5pro. Very good, well balanced sound and nearly as good as my HD25s! Plenty of accurate bass, so I'm not sure I'd worry about the EBs unless you're a dub/techno fan.

Westone UM2's. Extremely comfortable and a detailed sound.
