Want New Headphones

I got a Sony Ericsson K550i mobile for Xmas and am very pleased with it. However, the earphones supplied go in the ear and they hurt me. Also the bloomin wires get in the way. As someone who has been using an ancient basic black and white Nokia phone I am delighted to have music to listen to. What are the best earphones for me to get? I am not too bothered about super duper sound as the headphones supplied are very good for my needs and something cheap that does the business would be fine.

Re: Want New Headphones

Perhaps something like the Koss KSC75, however, does the Nokia use a proprietary connection?

If you are looking for something cheap (you didn't give a budget) then the Creative Labs EP-630's are a steal at just £7.99 from Amazon.

The only tiny issue with these good entry level headphones is that they don't last very long. I've had two pairs both broke with the same issue, wiring in jack. That was with non-intensive use and plenty of slack from the line and love. Lasts about 3 months, sound quality deteriorates, wiring breaks and the buds tear or get lost.

Re: Want New Headphones

Thanks to everyone, I have just been looking in the box and have come across a small pair of foam circles. I am presuming that they fit on to the headphones but I don't see how they fit. This is why the dam things will be hurting. How do I fix them on?

Good to know I suppose you get what you pay for...

They should just go over the ear piece, you may have to stretch them a bit. I'm sure there's nothing complicated to it.

Re: Want New Headphones

How stupid of me, have managed to stretch them over the earpieces and the sound is good. I was in the O2 shop today and was asking the woman whether it is possible to get wireless bluetooth stereo headphones to go with a Sony Ericsson and she told me that you did not get these. I am surprised as I thought I would be able to be able to listen to my phone through a headset without all these wires getting on my nerves. I am disappointed, I would have been willing to pay dear for them. However, not to worry.
