Good low budget headphones?

Hello!

Well I have about £50 to spend of my own money (pity me, I'm only 16...) possibly a little more.

What do you think would work well for me...mainly for PS3 gaming. My dad spent a lot (for us) on a TV, so he doesn't want to spend anything on audio.

I was looking at the Sennheiser PXC 250 Headphones, but I'm not sure about headphones...n00b to the scene.

Thanks!

Re: Good low budget headphones?

Hi. Do you need the phones so that other people around cant hear any noise coming from them? Like maybe if someone else could be disturbed by noise leakage from the phones?

I have read on here that the closed type headphone does seeem to be preferred for gaming. Play.com are doing a good price on the senheisser 280 pro at them moment.

£20 above your price range though might be worth saving up for? http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...searchsource=0

the pxc250's are noise reduction phones. they are £60 from amazon.

these Beyerdynamic DTX 900 Headphones look a good set. But are open. which means other people around you could here what you are listening to to varying degrees.
£50 amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beyerdynamic...68846&sr=1-148

Have a search on here. you might find some usefull reviews. Im no expert thats for sure. been looking for some closed backs myself. cheers, pixel

Re: Good low budget headphones?

Thanks.

No it doesn't matter, as long as it's not that long...nothing like silence necessary - if that reduces the price or increases the quality I can get to.

Do you know of any 5.1 sets? How much do you think that would be?

EDIT: How about: these?

Re: Good low budget headphones?

no probs. They look like fun & wireless. rechargeable batteries too. Dont know what the sound quality would be like though. Might lack bass due to being wireless?

For gaming you would probably do with a bit of bass from the phones.

If open is aloud. Serch for 'Bayerdynamic' in amazon. I saw some decent Bayer 770's reduced to £35 on there yesterday. I beleive Beyers 'generally' have good bass.

Re: Good low budget headphones?

Actually, I asked my dad whether we could move our current 3-4 year old setup from downstairs up here, and he said that was alright.

So it's cool. Thanks anyway.
