Hey Guys,

Please could recommend me some surround sound headphones that have a seperate amp and optical in that i could use for xbox360/LIVE?

In regards to the mic i was thinking that the live headset could be looped around my neck and pointed upwards to my mouth and have the speach put through the speakers.

Thanks Reece they look like just the ticket although i've been reading up on good surround sound headphones and bad ones and it seems as though whilst using them you will always struggle to hear people talking on LIVE as the sound comes through the speakers along with all the music of the game as well. This said i was then just thinking of buying a good pair of surround sound headphones to use for movies as well, and came across these

Well i've had these for over a week now and for xbox LIVE there are simply stunning. The surround sound works a treat, i mostly play Halo and can hear everything going on around me, sniper directions, people trying to sneak up, the direction of shots, everything. Movies sound great through them as well and they are extremely comfortable, i've had 3 hour sessions with no troubles. If you play 360 late at night and don't want to wake anyone and yet have the benifits of surround sound this is your answer. The mic works perfectly as well.

Yeah you just take the original headphone jack out the back and plug the one that comes with the headphones in. All you do then it change the xbox settings so that voice chat is through the speakers and they work a treat

I believe the Tritton headphones are a re-badged Sharkoon (or vice-versa).

The Sharkoons are about £72 delivered from Scan in the UK.
