Headphones for TV in bed!

Hello all.

I have a Tosh 32WLT66 in the bedroom which I am partial to watching in bed. The Mrs hates my antisocial hours though so I want to get some headphones so that I can watch telly/DVD's without disturbing her.

Is this possible? Can I attach either wired or wireless headphones to the TV such that I get the sound in my headphones, but the speakers are muted? What about for DVD playback? Any issues? I have a Tosh DVD player connected via HDMI.

I am just using the TV for terrestrial playback at the moment, but may get Sky in at some point soon. Any issues here?

If this is a goer, any recommendations on which headphones to get? I don't want to spend a fortune, maybe £50-£100.

Thanks for any advice, folks...
