Best Headphones for around £10

I'm looking for a decent pair of headphones. Most headphones I've owned in the past have been £1-3 efforts, or free ones. WEll i've decided to get a pair that is half decent. I want a pair of full size headphones for general use. I don't want to spend much more than £15, really because they don't get that much use. Anyway whats the best pair I can get?

Hi, I've got some Sennheiser HD201 headphones that I use in my shed (where I keep my electronic drums and a few other bits and pieces)..

They took some 'playing in' but represent excellent value for money at around £10-20..

HMV have then for £12.99 a pair with free delivery - http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayP...;-1&sku=532075

Ian..

The Sennheiser's look good, are there any retail stores that sell them? I've also been looking at the Sony MDR-XD100 headphones, http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...archtype=genre
Does anyone know if these are any good?

to be honest, i haven't seen them around. i'm sure curry's or dixons might have them, but at the standard price of around £16 or more, probably.

hands up i don't know anything about the Sony's other than i put my HD212's up against my friend wh had a pair of Sony's the same price, and the Sennheisers were better, and my friend agreed.

i've tested the HD212's against technics, sony, MOS and the HD212's always shine.

i used top by son'y technics and panasonic's years ago, and then i brought a pair of PX30's and they changed my world.

at the price, i'd still go with the Sennheisers.

The thing that is pulling me towards the sonys is they look better, but if sennheisers sound better I will probably go with them, can you get them in any high street shops?

They have them instore at HMV for £17.99 (Fort Shopping Park)

The Senns actuallly don't look tooooo bad, and they won a design award when they were released...

I'd put money on them sounding better than the Sonys...

don't worry about buying headphones for looks, i've done it plenty of times before. actually i'm seriously thinking of getting the Ultrasone iCans. they look fantastic, but the reviews so far have been less than flattering.

just realise on sound, the Sennheisers would probably be better.

Probably Going to get the sennheisers. Thinking it over they don't look worse than the sonys, and from review they look like they will sound better.
