Over ear phones with a shorter cable??

Hey all

Looking for some decent over ear headphones for my daily commute that don't have a stupidly long cable attached to them! Currently using some Sony MDR V300s which are decent but the cable is REALLY annoying me!

Any suggestions from the knowledgeable peeps?

Re: Over ear phones with a shorter cable??

the shortest cable i ever had was with the Pioneer SE-MJ3B headphones that i got from www.audiocubes.com. the specs said that the cable was 50cm, but they felt a lot shorter than that.

i if plugged them into my imac, my face would be pressing up against the screen, if i plugged them in my ipod, i had to have my ipod i my top pocket. believe me the cable was short.

I believe the Eggo successors have retractable cords - The ear cups are rather small but I could get my ears into the old Eggos.

sennhesier HD-25-1 II.
1.5 M cable. not that long when you have them on and perfect for commuting. The isolation on the capsules is amazing.
However I would recommend using the velour earpads that come free with them if using for long periods.

Try the Shure E2G's (the gaming version of the E2C's). They are exactly the same as the E2C's except all black in colour and shorter lead as they are intended for use with handheld consoles such as the PSP. I have them and I think they are great. £40 at www.advancedmp3players.co.uk.

The Sony 71s have a half-metre cable plus an extension lead.
