Smile Bose QuietComfort 3

Anybody got these headphones and if so what do you think of them - I purchased these on impulse and am reasonably impressed - good base performance, comfortable, light, good noise cancellation - it would be interesting to get other peoples opinions.

Re: Bose QuietComfort 3

I have these, I know they're a lot of money, but they are so much better than my previous noise cancelling headphones, I can't really fault them, and they are brilliant onboard aircraft, you get the feeling the plane doesn't have any engines. I plug them into my archos and leave everybody behind.

Re: Bose QuietComfort 3

i had the QC2s, same technology just in a bigger form factor, thought they were very good, used to use them for a particularly long tube journey i used to make, but evetually sold them as stopped making long journeys and dont use headphones for anything else!

Re: Bose QuietComfort 3

yes i've tried them, and much as i LIKE them, to be honest, buy yourself a pair of Sennheiser HD 25-1's, buy a pair of velour earpads and save yourself a bundle of money.

for noise canceling ability, the HD25-1's offer all the noise canceling you'll ever need.

I've flown once with the HD25's and provided you have them at a reasonable (not loud) volume, they'll performed well.

For the price, the Bose are good, but i say why bother spending that much, when you'll get 90% of the Bose noise canceling ability, and just as good sound, if not better, for nearly a third of the price.

and please don't think that i'm a Bose hater. I went through 4 pairs of Triports, and forgave the headband breaking every time, because i loved them so much!

Re: Bose QuietComfort 3

I like them. Really do but in the end I went for the ATH-ANC7 - AUDIO TECHNICA - ATH-ANC7 - ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES as they were £70 and INHO just as good.

Re: Bose QuietComfort 3

I have the Bose QC2 headphones and I think they are the best on the market. I have tried many different ones but these beat them all hands down. The other thing is the great service from Bose. My headband broke and Bose sent me a jiffy bag to return them. Today I received a brand new pair. Not bad considering they were two years old.

I also have a set of Phillips SBC HD1505 wireless DTS suround headphones and after 9 months of wrangling with phillips they have finally agreed to replace them with another pair for £39.99. Original cost £280. They were only just over a year old when they broke. So the bose may be expensive but worth every penny in my book.
