What are the best in ear headphones for ipod

My PX100 failed after a few weeks. I bought some cx300. Is there any in ear headphones that sound better than these or is this as good as it gets.Budget is not an issue. Any ideas?

get your px-100's replaced under warranty. Just bring them back with your receipt.

if budget isn't an issue and by your choices (headphones or IEM's) it's, how long is a piece of string.

do you have any thoughts yourself?

i could advice the following:

1) igrado

2) Alessandro ms-1 (because they're only $99 delivered)

3) Sennheiser HD25-1's because they're a bit smaller than any pair of full size headphones, but they perform well

i could go on.

have you any thoughts?

I use the Shure E2G's for which I paid £35 from Amazon. They are far and way superior to Apple's own earphones and also much better than Sony 71's. For the money, I don't think you will do much better.

I prefer the EX-85 to the Shures personally, it's all down to the person listening though.

Shure E500/SE530 are the arguably the best in ear phones that i've heard. Some people also like IEM's from Ultimate Ears and Westone so it might be worth checking peoples opinions on those as well

Re: What are the best in ear headphones for ipod

If budget's no issue then I suggest you take a look at the UE-10 Pro, however, the UE-11 should be out later this year.

Going through the authorized dealer will probably set you back £800 with audiologist fess.

Re: What are the best in ear headphones for ipod

i love my E500's paired with my Xin Supermicro IV amp + 80gb Ipod (+ Rockbox )

i got them from a guy in the states on ebay for about £170 ....massive jump in quality over my previous E3C iem's and absolutely no comparison to your CX300.

What about the Etymotic ER4P's? From what I hear, they sound great. I'm planning to get a pair and would be interested in opinions on them.

Re: What are the best in ear headphones for ipod

I imported some Crossroad X3's , there awesome but require alot of messing about to get a good fit...although I haven't tried Foams yet . They're dead cheap and have been compared to headphones double their price . They're $57 and have free worldwide shipping .

Re: What are the best in ear headphones for ipod

At this time I don't think the OP will get better than the UE-10 Pro as I've already mentioned, I wouldn't consider anything else to be honest as the budget is not an issue.
