help, which noise reduction heapdphones

Can anyone suggest some in ear, noise reduction headphones for about £100 ish. They are for my husband as he has lost his and I want to buy him a pressie. sorry if I have repeated a previous thread but any suggestions would be a great help

The suggestions above are great. If he does want to big ear candy ones I woudl go for the

I'm also interested. I#m off to Oz in septemebr an want a set of NC headphones. Do the earbud solutions really work or would it be worth getting ove head solutions?

look at the v moda vibe earphones on amazon, sound great and very stylish come in nice packaging and different colours, would make a nice pressie

after speaking to my cousin at the weekend, he swears by Shure. but he didn't by them, because he said they cut out too much noise. 'nough said really

Most probably a stupid question but would the likes of Shure and UE work with in-flight entertainment systems? Or is the impedance too different to be compatible? If okay, I guess adapters can be bought freely?
(Might send off an e-mail to Shure or UE next to check the whole.)

Can anyone recommend some noise canceling headphones for my situation:

I live on a busy road and want to reduce the noise whilst I'm studying (with or without music) but still want a set portable enough for use on occasional journeys. The obvious answer would be to use earplugs when I want complete silence but I just find them too uncomfortable so I think the answer maybe in some, on, rather than in, the ear, noise canceling 'phones.

Any ideas for under £100??

I must say the audio technica athanc7 are verygood noise cancelling headphones - or the shures for in ear isolation ones!
