Sennheiser Cx300

Hi Folks

I use a pair of Sennheiser CX300's when out jogging . However, the rubber tips gradually started to fall out of my ears during running. I changed to a pair of Senn' MX75's. Christ my ears are throbing. I have now ditched these as I can not get them to stay in at all plus the pain was akin to having slept on a folded over ear all night. I am sure a few will know what I mean. Anyway I want to go back to my CX300's but need some new silicon covers for the tips. I have searched the net but can find nothing. Surely these are a standard spare part and standard fit more hundreds of ear Bud headphones. Can anyone help...?

Try everybody's favourite auction website. You'll find them there.

£3.74...How on Earth does the seller manage that!

And, oh, don't those V-Moda Vibe phones on the same page look sexy.

Re: Sennheiser Cx300

I have been looking for a pair of these recently and was sorely tempted at that price.
However I cant help thinking if it seems to good to be true...
I would assume they are fake imports for that kind of money?

i got mine when they were around £6.00. imports or no, they sound great for the price. better than my standard ipod earphones.

checked my pictures against other sennheiser CX300 packaging, and i can't see the difference.

my explanation is that sennheisers have alway been good when it comes to price cuts, but don't quote me on that.

Re: Sennheiser Cx300

i bought some of these of amazon at full price, well...15 pounds, (theyre in richer sounds for 40) they do sound brilliant, not far off shure e2c,s the bass is great, my kitten chewed through them as its a thin wire to reduce the sound when the wires rub cos thyre so dee in your ear.
i bought some more from an amazon seller for cheaper and they mustve been fakes because the bass was less and after a while i got a shock in my ear, ended up dropping my mp3 player and breaking it

Re: Sennheiser Cx300

They are all over e-bay for £6 - from China!
I just bought some from amazon for around £16 with free postage. They did have some in the amazon marketplace for the same money as e-bay, but wouldnt take the chance after seeing the number of fakes that people have been caught out buying.

Right, the part number you are looking for is 517682
that is an ear sleeve set black. 4xS 4xM 4xL
Just go into any sennheiser dealer and ask the salesman to order you a set from sennheiser.

If you need a particle size than you can get a ten pack of the size you want. If you want the part number for these let me know.

Re: Sennheiser Cx300

I just ordered a cheap pair off amazon too (£3.70 + £4.50 p+p) from parsaco. He had good rep with no negative feedback but if course if the packaging is professional enough maybe no one noticed. I'll report back. I already own a pair of these which I bought in Lower Marsh market in Waterloo about 5 months ago for £15 after checking the price online first. The packaging was very good if they were bootlegs and the sound quality was great for the price although I haven't tried many other decent earphones especially these insulating types. I managed to step on one of the speakers yesterday though so need a replacement.

From what I have heard the ex71s were never very good, their new ones the EX-85 are supposed to be a big improvement.

I have the CX300s too, pretty happy with them although they can be a bit fiddly to get in properly which can make them sound tinny until you do.
