How can I get headphones to work?

I want the option to use headphones when watching DVDs on my projector screen, but my Denon dvd player (1920) has no headphone socket, and my AE sound system also has no headphone socket?

Are there any adaptors etc I could buy?

If you have the standard rca line outs you could use a simple headphone amp up to an obscenely expensive one.

Re: How can I get headphones to work?

Thanks for the fast reply, the Denon 1920 has rca outputs . I want good sound quality, but I won't be using headphones costing more than a £100, so would I really notice the difference if I went for a £30 headphone amp, or one costing considerably more? Also have you (or anyone) any suggestions on a reasonably priced headphone amp?

Re: How can I get headphones to work?

Buy high impedance headphones and connect directly to the speaker outlets by means of a cable with a headphone socket, bare the ends and wire it up to the spare speaker posts

This was recommended years ago in English Hi-Fi magazines for better quality sound

Don’t deafen yourself !
