Data via Headphone socket

My friend told me that he heard that there may be a way to retrive data through the headphone socket (it appeared theoretically possible to me which is why im asking). So is there anyway to connect a MP3 player to a computer using the headphone socket and then copy the data needed over?

eg. Headphone socket to USB connector.

Thanks guys, I know there probrably isn't a way. But it's worth me asking in my situation.

100% impossible.

Headphone connector - analouge
USB - Digital

An MP3 player has no way of reading a file other than an audio file.

just 2 of the problems for ya...
